Parking
Visitor parking is available in lots along Osborne Road on the north side of the hospital, near the main entrance. There is no charge for parking in Unity Hospital’s visitor parking lots.
Assistance is available if you need help parking and/or retrieving your car, or wish to be escorted to your car in the evening. Inquire at the Information Desk or call hospital security at extension 763-236-7777.

- Pharmacy: Unity Community Pharmacy, located in Unity Hospital, is open 24 hours a
day, 7 days a week.
- An ATM machine:An ATM for visitor, patient and employee convenience is located in Unity’s cafeteria.
- Wireless high-speed internet access: Free wi-fi/wireless high-speed internet access is available for patients and visitors at the hospital.
Visiting hours
Family and friends are welcome
to visit patients at Unity Hospital.
Visiting hours are flexible, based on
patient and family needs, as well as
patient care priorities.
The Substance abuse unit is a secured area. Visiting hours are Sundays from 1 - 4 p.m., additional visits may be allowed on a case-by-case basis. Holiday visiting hours are posted on the unit.
Please note that visiting maybe limited or canceled for patient care, safety or unit needs. Visitors observed to be under the influence of a mood altering substance are not permitted on the unit and will be asked to leave.
Geriatric Mental Health visiting hours are 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. and 6 - 8 p.m. daily. Holiday visiting hours are 12 - 8 p.m.
Geriatric Mental Health is a secured area, at times it may be necessary to change or restrict visiting hours.
Visitors should be in good health
and not recently exposed to
communicable diseases. Hands
should be washed before and
after visiting a patient.
Some hospital areas require additional
security measures. For this reason,
certain units may require you to sign
in or announce your presence via
intercom or may limit the number
of visitors in a patient room at one
time. Check with hospital staff if you
have questions.
Visiting guidelines
The following are general guidelines for visitors:
- Visitors may not smoke in patient rooms or anywhere on the hospital campus.
- Visitors must dress appropriately and must wear shirts and shoes.
- No more than four visitors are allowed at the bedside at one time.
- People with colds, sore throats, or any contagious diseases should not visit patients.
- Visits should be kept short.
- Visitors should maintain a quiet environment and avoid unnecessary noise.
- Visitors may be asked to leave the room during tests or treatments or when the doctor or nurse needs to see the patient.
- Latex balloons are prohibited in the hospital. Mylar balloons are a good alternative
